Cotton production consumes 300 Billion liters of water yearly. That is four times the basic need of water of the world population.

Each Saison, the cotton crop is sprayed up to 25 times with pestizides.

About 10.000 people die each year from consequences of incidents with pesticides in cotton cultivation.

About 40% of the cotton fiber is already produced from genetically transformed cotton plants.

Pure convencional cotton consists up to one quarter of its weight in chemicals that are used in the cultivation and the production process.

Cotton is one of the most delicate crops that is produced. An incredible amount of toxic chemicals are used to produce a cotton garment. These toxics are causing the death of thousands of people each year, are polluting soil, water and air and are partly staying in the fabrics even after washing, causing allergies and health problems to its wearers.
