Industrial hemp
Hemp-fabric is naturally one of the most ecologically friendly fabrics. The hemp plant grows well in a variety of climates and soil types and its fibers are among the strongest and most durable natural textile fibers. Hemp is also a very land efficient crop that leaves the soil in exelent condition after harvest and needs nor pesticides nor herbicides. Hemp fibers are more absorbent and more insulative than cotton. This means that hemp will keep you warmer in winter and cooler in summer than cotton. Hemp is very effective at blocking the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays, making it a perfect fiber for babys clothes.
