Our azulinhos are towel dolls, based on 19th century portuguese tile design. Towel dolls are a Northern-European tradition for small babys. It is recommended that the mother takes the doll to bed with her before giving birth. The towel doll absorbs the familiar scent of the mother and calmes the baby when the mother is not with him. The azulinhos will always be in our range of products without changes in the design and can be express ordered in case of ermergencies.
The Pelican Gonçalo is the first of the familiy of azulinhos. Made out of soft organic cotton velours and Ökotex certified soft cotton flanell produced in Germany (Westfalenstoffe). With a filling of antiallergic hollow fibers. Hand embroidered. Machine
